Stunning features with Lifestyle

March 6, 2010

In three communities known for their small-town appeal and big-city convenience, Lifestyle Homes has made its mark.
The residential builder offers homes in Riverwood, Black Diamond; Drake Landing, Okotoks and Montrose, High River, and according to President Ron Bird, each home, and each community, is welcoming and well-planned with special defining features.
“Lifestyle Homes Inc. strongly believes in the future of the Okotoks, High River and Black Diamond communities,” Bird says.
“Look at the employment base in south east Calgary, each location offers an easier commute than many subdivisions in Calgary.  Homesites are much less expensive and larger than those found in the City.” Home buyers have taken note – today’s purchasers want an attainably priced home in a convenient location, which is something Lifestyle offers in all three of its southern communities.

Black Diamond is located 10 minutes west of Okotoks on scenic Hwy #7.  “The Riverwood development is situated along the banks of the Sheep River immediately west of the Oilfields General Hospital, and homes here start in the $370,000s, including lot and GST, for generous sized homes with triple attached garages,” Bird says.
“Lifestyle Homes Inc. has opened its showhome and is in the process of constructing general display/spec homes, while a number of presales will soon be starting construction.”
“Drake Landing in Okotoks offers the Company’s most diverse range of housing product,” Bird says.
“Lifestyle’s Elements showhomes showcase various aspects of green building technology and we encourage potential customers to take the guided tour in order to gain a full appreciation of the four cornerstones -- earth, water, energy, air -- of green building.”
Homes with Elements components start in the $400,000s, and Elements features can be added to any Lifestyle Home.
Also in Drake landing is a collection of homes on a ridge overlooking the Sheep River Valley, and offering stunning views of the Rockies.
Oversized lots and estate-level architecture create high-end, yet comfortable homes, all starting in the $700,000s – and, Bird says, “in Calgary, you’d pay over $1 million for comparable product.”
However, in smaller centers, because of a lower land cost purchasers can get all the bells and whistles for less.
Montrose in High River is a master planned community rivaling any offered in Calgary.  There are two Lifestyle showhomes plus a number of spec homes for viewing.  Available homesites are located in an estate cul de sac which feature walkouts backing onto a 16-acre pond – and incredibly prices start in the $400,000s, including lot and GST.
“Its spectacular mountain views, expansive park development and proximity to all community amenities including new schools and the rec centre make this area a secure investment for the future,” Bird says.
These are areas that truly should appreciate in value over time as development in Calgary becomes increasingly expensive and as the growth of Calgary’s southeast employment centers including the new hospital and transportation corridors make access to them increasingly convenient.” Indeed, amenities and convenience are key, commuting is a snap, and with shopping, services and park space only moments from each of Lifestyle’s homes – including a new Costco which will join the other marquee retailers along Hwy #7 on Okotoks south side -- owners will have all the benefits of city living, without the hefty price tag.
